#2. Why are the sea lions trained to blow their nose on cue? ? It is very important that they have no problems with their breathing
Please Scroll Down for the Next Question
The Sea lions are trained to blow their nose on cue in order to check their breathing (nose and throat)
Blowing their nose on demand allows the trainers to collect a sample and send it to a lab for analysis. The lab can then use the sample to check their breathing or their lungs for any problems in that part of their body.
#3. What should you do with your Litter? ? Pick it up, pop it in, drop it in the litter bin

Help protect the marine life in our oceans – Leave nothing behind.
As beach crowds increase, so does the amount of litter left behind or blown away. Don’t let your day outside contribute to the destruction of our Marine Life. Remember to leave nothing behind but your footprints — collect and dispose of your litter.
Many beaches now have litter picking schemes where you can help collect litter.

On average a Sea Lion can hold its breath for 12 Minutes
Sea lions can remain underwater for an average of 8 to 20 minutes. Unlike dolphins, sea lions exhale before diving. Naturally, their nostrils are closed, but they have special muscles to open them in order to breathe. Sea lions can dive to depths between 450 and 900 feet.

As in the name, California Sea Lions live in California, USA.
