Merlin Entertainments, who operate some of the UKs biggest theme parks and attractions including Alton Towers Resort and LEGOLAND Windsor has announced a new partnership with Mojang Studios the makers of Minecraft, the worlds best selling video game!

In line with the announcement a video was release on Merlin Entertainments Official Youtube Channel in which the caption reads:
It’s time for adventures made real… We’re teaming up with Mojang Studios and minecraft for a global partnership that will see adventures brought to life like never before through immersive and interactive experiences – including a Minecraft-themed ride!
Get ready to eat, sleep, shop, and most importantly, play in the Minecraft world at locations in the US and the UK from 2026, as we bring the best-selling video game of all time to life in ways fans have never before imagined. Are you ready to play? 🎮👾

The Youtube video features Hyperia at Thorpe Park combined with a virtual Minecraft World.
Where Will I Be Able to Experience Minecraft World
Merlin Entertainments have not yet official confirmed where in the UK you will be able to experience this new Minecraft World but based on the many rumours in the Theme Park industry it is highliy likely that it will replace Wild Asia at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
Plans were recently drawn up to retheme this section of the Surrey Theme Park with full details in our New Rides and Attractions for 2025 article.
A Minecraft Themed Roller Coaster
The Wild Asia retheme at Chessington World of Adventures centre-piece will be a new rollercoaster with indoor and outdoor elements, it is likely that this will be a Minecraft themed. Other attractions will include a re-themed and re-positioned Kobra ride, a new indoor ride and an outdoor themed play area. Interactive retail and food and beverage buildings will also be provided.
