As families search for ways to cut costs on summer entertainment, one of the UK’s most popular theme parks has launched a massive ticket giveaway. Having previously given free tickets to Merlin Theme Parks such as Alton Towers, LEGOLAND Windsor and Thorpe Park Resort, this year the Sun Club has switched its promotion to Drayton Manor Resort in Staffordshire.
How to Get FREE Tickets to Drayton Manor Resort This Summer
Drayton Manor Resort (home of Thomas Land) has teamed up with The Sun to launch an exclusive 2026 ticket deal, giving away 10,000 completely free tickets to families. If you miss out on the free tickets, the park has also released 90,000 heavily discounted tickets priced at just £20 each.
These promotional tickets can be used for visits between 1 June and 30 September 2026 (excluding the month of August).
Here is everything you need to know about what is included and exactly how to claim your tickets before they sell out.
What’s Included in the Offer?
Each successful booking code unlocks up to four tickets to Drayton Manor Resort in Staffordshire. The tickets grant full access to the resort’s major areas, making it a highly versatile day out for mixed-age families:
- Thomas Land: Ideal for younger children, featuring 21 rides and attractions themed around Thomas & Friends.
- The Theme Park: Home to over 50 rides and attractions, including The Wave (the newly reimagined, thrilling coaster formerly known as Shockwave), Stormforce 10, and the outward-facing gyro-swing, Maelstrom.
- The 15-Acre Zoo: Full access to the on-site conservation zoo, home to over 100 species of animals from around the world.
How to Claim Your Tickets (Two Methods)
There are two separate routes to access the booking portal. Because allocations are capped daily and expected to go quickly, it is worth deciding which method suits you best ahead of time.
Method 1: The Instant Digital Route (Sun Club)
If you want to skip the queue and avoid buying physical newspapers, you can access the deal digitally.
- Sign up for The Sun Club online (memberships start from £1.99 per month, or £12 for an annual subscription).
- Being a member bypasses the need to collect physical paper codes.
- The digital booking portal opens exclusively for Sun Club members at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.
Method 2: The Newspaper Code Route (Sun Savers)
If you prefer to collect physical codes, you can use the standard newspaper route.
- You will need to collect four unique Sun Savers codes.
- These codes will be printed daily in The Sun newspaper between Saturday, 23 May and Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
- Scan or enter the codes into the free Sun Savers app on your phone. Once you have logged four valid codes, your unique booking link will be unlocked.
Key Fine Print to Keep in Mind
- Exclusions: The tickets are valid for June, July, and September 2026. The entire month of August is excluded from this promotion.
- Booking Limits: Each unique code or Sun Club account can claim a maximum of 2 free tickets.
- Availability: While there are 100,000 promotional tickets available in total (10k free, 90k at £20), popular dates (especially weekends in June and July) are highly likely to hit their daily limits within the first few hours of the portal opening. Early booking is strongly advised.
