Lightwater Valley Family Adventure park

Historically known as ‘Lightwater Valley Theme Park’, the park has been rebranded as ‘Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park’ for the 2022 season. A number of historic attractions still remain in operation but they are predominately aimed at children aged 12 and under. Family adventures for the under 12’s

Following the £5million acquisition by the Brighton Pier Group in June 2021 the emphasis has been much more on a younger audience. The park was already heading in this direction under its previous owners with major rides like Raptor Attack being removed and The Ultimate remaining out of operation since the COVID 19 pandemic began in 2019.

Long-term Growth Opportunity

Brighton Pier Group who now own and operate the attraction are very excited about the “extensive space” on offer which they believe provides a “long-term growth opportunity” for the group to develop and expand the park.

Tree Top Trails

Offering an idyllic setting for a family day out, the safe and green landscaped park is full of activities and adventure, with the spotlight on the fun-seeking Under-12 age group. Around every corner, you’ll find something to captivate and intrigue.

Watch for guests, bounding across the ‘Tree Top Trails’. This woodland walk-through canopy high above the park features giant trampolines and slides and is only one of the many rides and attractions on offer to exhilarate even the most energetic family members.

Young Adventurers

There’s lots on offer for Younger guests like the large Activity Park with both indoor and outdoor play areas. They will also enjoy the Lightwater Express train ride around the park, Eagles Creek Farm tractor ride, plus the Go Safari section of the Theme Park. The indoor Soft Play and Cafe are perfect for under 8’s to burn off some energy whilst Mum and Dad have a seat with a relaxing coffee.

Family Fun and Attractions

More adventurous children can soar high in the sky on Skyrider flying swing ride or race down the Splash Falls waterslides. Step aboard the Savanna Express for a journey through the African wilderness, twist and turn on the Little Dipper or plunge into Splash Falls on a rubber dinghy. For gentler thrills, there’s endless funfair tradition to enjoy, including the carousel, Lightwater Express train, Ladybird ride and Vintage Car Rally.

New for 2022

There are a whole host of brand new rides and activities to enjoy in 2022 including a new mascot, Ebor the Lightwater Dragon. Ebor is at the heart of the new daily park entertainment programme that will be rolling out this year.

Amongst the new additions are Dodgems, a Twist and Turn and a Hall of Mirrors.

When you need a break from exploring, step into the new arcade, where you’ll find games for the whole family ranging from classic 2p pushers to high-tech VR experiences.

To complement Tree Top Trails, ‘Discovery Woods’ is also now open, offering a truly interactive outdoor experience, with a lakeside woodland nature trail, mud kitchen and bug hotel, as well as pond dipping and cloud gazing activities.
