The Guardian ride has been in operation at Fantasy Island near Skegness for a couple of seasons now, but there may be a real twist to this ride in 2025.
The Guardian at Fantasy Island
The Guardian at Fantasy Island is a four-seater RoboCoaster simulator ride that operates in front of a projection dome. The ride was designed and built by KumbaK in 2014 for Simworx and originally operated in Hub Zero Dubai as Dragon Age: Flight of the Warden before being transferred to Fantasy Island in 2022.
Overhead Restraints
Anyone who has ridden The Guardian at Fantasy Island will have observed that the ride uses overhead restraints as shown in the photo at the top of this page to hold passengers in place. You may have wondered why these are necessary for such a tame ride when similar attractions like ‘Flight of The Sky Lion‘ at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort use a basic seatbelt across your lap.
A New Experience for 2025
It is thanks to the overhead restraints and the capabilities of the RoboCoaster, that in 2025 the ride may reach its full potential taking riders on a thrilling ride which includes inversions and dramatic manoeuvres far beyond what riders currently experience on The Guardian.
In the rides previous life when it operated as Dragon Age: Flight of the Warden inverted riders multiple times and hopefully it will be doing the same again soon at Fantasy Island.
