A Bygone Era
Step back into a bygone era with vintage Edwardian carriages, Victorian Director’s Saloons and original 1960s slam-door stock to ride in. The railway volunteers are very proud of the re-built Bolton Abbey Station and the delightful Victorian features of the restored Embsay Station.
Food and Drink
There are numerous events throughout the year where you can dine whilst travelling onboard the vintage steam trains. The Bolton Abbey Station Tea Room and the Embsay Station Coffee Shop both serve homemade cakes and Sandwiches.
The rural request-stop Holywell Halt is a wonderful place to picnic, whilst our traditionally-uniformed friendly staff will leave you with some enduring memories of a special day out.

Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway is located just off the A59 near the picturesque town of Skipton. Follow the brown tourist signs for ‘Embsay Steam Railway’ to get to Embsay Station, the postcode is BD23 6QX.
For Bolton Abbey Station, continue along the A59 towards Harrogate, and alongside part of the railway, until ‘Bolton Abbey Station’ is signposted, the postcode is BD23 6AF.
