Tunnels Beaches features a historic Victorian tidal pool. Try to visit around low tide to see the tidal pool and for the best rock pooling. The tidal pool is visible for 6 hours at a time (3 hours before and after low tide). The best time to swim is when it first appears, 3 hours before low tide, this is when it is at it’s deepest. It is a historic tidal Victorian pool and will naturally lose water across the 6hr period!

If you are travelling by car head towards Ilfracome and as you approach the town, Tunnels Beaches is clearly marked on the brown tourist road signs. Tunnels Beaches car park is reserved for guests staying in their accommodation, but their are plenty of car parks within the town and on the seafront.
