Free Guided Tours
Join one of the guides for a tour of the cathedral filled with stories and facts from its 800-year history. Tours run Monday to Saturday between 10.00am and 3.00pm. In addition, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1.30pm, there is a specialist tour exploring the cathedral’s treasure trove of medieval stained glass. Climb the Central Tower

York City centre is encompassed by its ancient walls and is accessible on foot. York Minster is located in Deangate, right in the heart of the modern city of York. The attraction is well signposted and due to its sheer scale, it can be seen from across the city.
