SEA LIFE Brighton is one of the most extensive and impressive Sea Life Centres in Britain, besides being the oldest aquarium anywhere on the planet. Housed in an amazing Victorian pile, it’s recognised by maritime conservation aficionados as among the greatest in the world, and it is, without a doubt, a superb family day out.

Forming part of a 2.7m refurbishment, discover the underwater world as you have never seen it before and journey from day to night. This new first-of-a-kind experience offers guests the opportunity to witness the 24-hour wonder of a coral reef in a 750,000-litre display as it moves through the day.
Seahorse Nursery
Even though they might look like mythical creatures, seahorses are very real. See the seahorses grip at seagrass with their curly tails and suck up tiny shrimp with their straw-like snouts. If you’re lucky you may even hear their unique “finger-clicking” sounds as they feed.
Secrets of the Reef
Spot Dory, Nemo and their colourful friends in the coral-filled tanks.
Conservation Cove
In this area, you will find out more about what SEA LIFE and the SEA LIFE Trust are doing to help threatened marine life. Conservation is at the heart of what they do at SEA LIFE Brighton. Around 75% (that’s three quarters) of the world’s coral reefs are threatened by human activity.
Ocean Tunnel
The walk-through Ocean Tunnel gives visitors the opportunity to experience life under the sea without getting wet. SEA LIFE Brighton has a wide array of sharks. In the ocean tank, you will see, Black Tip Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Big Fish and lots more.
