Situated in the heart of London, SEA LIFE London Aquarium is the jewel in the crown of the 28 SEA LIFE attractions in the UK and Europe. Below is a rundown of what’s on offer at the attraction.
Shark Walk
Start your visit to the SEA LIFE London Aquarium by walking over a glass window with incredible views into the magnificent Pacific display. Admire some of the most majestic creatures in the ocean as they swim just inches beneath your feet!
Coasts
Continue your journey of discovery as you explore the mysterious creatures that inhabit the world’s coastlines! Meet the Common Octopus and be dazzled by a sparkling silver shoal of sand eels.
Ray Lagoon
The next stop is a lagoon stocked with beautiful Rays. These curious creatures are graceful to watch from above. You can also take a look through the window to see the mouth and gills on the underside of their body as they pass on by. Look for a Mermaids Purse (Ray’s egg) hidden in the sand.
Rockpool
At the Rockpool exhibit, visitors to SEA LIFE London Aquarium can stroke a Starfish or tickle a Sea Anemone. Experts are on hand throughout this unique opportunity to learn more about these fascinating micro-habitats and the incredible creatures that thrive in them.
Open Oceans
A breathtaking scene awaits you at the Open Ocean exhibit. Flitting around the replica bones of a great Grey Whale are Purple Tangs, Triggerfish, Snappers and hundreds more gorgeous tropical fish. Imposing Southern Stingrays patrol the seabed whilst small Cownose Rays dance above their heads.
Ocean Tunnel
Travel into the underwater world and meet incredible creatures as you pass through the amazing glass tunnel. Look out for the enormous Green Sea turtles gliding slowly over your head whilst Shoals of glittering fish flutter along beside you.
Nemo’s Coral Reef
At Nemo’s Coral Reef, you will see the coral reef, a kaleidoscope of colour, bustling with activity. This is where you’ll find cute Clownfish hiding in the tentacles of Sea Anemones. These cities of the sea are teaming with fish which come in every colour, shape and pattern you can imagine.
Seahorse Kingdom
Weedy Sea Dragons are native to the Australian coastline and are the masters of camouflage. Seadragons and Seahorses may sound like mythical creatures but here you can see just how real they are. In this kingdom, Seahorses grip at seagrass with their curly tails
and suck up tiny shrimp with their straw-like snouts. Admire the Seadragons as they bob slowly past the window.
Rainforest
Step out of the ocean and into the hot and humid rainforest to experience what life is like beneath the tropical treetops. Poison Dart Frogs leap through the foliage and monster Red Tailed Catfish and Black Pacu lurk in the depths. Winding through the roots and tree trunks, rainforest rivers are home to some spectacular fish. Look out for the flock of Piranhas and keep your eyes peeled for Look for the Blind Cave Fish who have no eyes. The resident Cuban Crocodile called Spice is a star attraction in the Rainforest exhibit.
Thames Walk
Learn all about the iconic River Thames from what is being done to keep it clean to the surprising animals that live in it. Find out how the river has come back from the dead in recent years as you explore its history, from the Thames Barrier to Westminster Bridge.
Penguin Point
Travel to the frozen extremities of the Antarctic and experience life with a colony of Gentoo Penguins. Watch as they dive beneath the freezing waters and play in their icy home. Hear the unmistakable trumpeting sound of the Gentoo. Learn about the penguin’s quirky antics as they dive, splash and play under the water or take some time out to relax or tend to their nests on the land.
Conservation Cove
Around 75% (that’s three-quarters) of the world’s coral reefs are threatened by human activity. Conservation is at the heart of what SEA LIFE London do. Learn about the threats facing marine life and what you can do to help as you explore with them.
Shark Reef Encounter
Meet the Sharks at SEA LIFE London. Sadly Sharks are the most misunderstood creatures in the Ocean. Far from being predators, they face extinction from being preyed upon by humans. Sharks are not as fearsome as they look. If you watch carefully you might see a cheeky little fish use a shark’s rough skin to scratch an itch or rub off a parasite.
Ocean Invaders
View the amazing Jellyfish in the three unique interactive zones. Ocean Invaders at SEA LIFE London is the UK’s largest jellyfish experience.

Travelling to SEA LIFE London Aquarium
SEA LIFE London Aquarium is located on the South bank of the river Thames, within the County Hall building. The attraction is situated right next to the Coca-Cola London Eye, just over Westminster Bridge from Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament. There are a variety of ways to get to SEA LIFE London Aquarium. Public Transport is recommended, but if travelling by car The Q-Park Westminster car park is located just a short distance from SEA LIFE London Aquarium. Please be aware of the central London Congestion Charge, which typically runs from Monday-Friday. The information line for the Congestion Charge is 0845 900 1234. Alternatively, visit the Congestion Charge Zone Website.
Travelling by Train
The nearest train station to SEA LIFE London Aquarium is Waterloo. From Waterloo Station follow the exit signs for the South Bank and walk towards The London Eye. SEA LIFE London Aquarium is located in County Hall, next to The London Eye.
Charing Cross train station is also near SEA LIFE London Aquarium. From Charing Cross take the exit next to platform 1 for Hungerford Bridge. Go over the bridge and follow the signs for Jubilee Gardens. Follow the riverfront past the Coca-Cola London Eye and the Aquarium is on your left. Search for your train tickets using Raileasy.
London Underground
The nearest tube stations are Westminster and Waterloo. Westminster tube is on the Circle, Jubilee and District lines. From Westminster, exit onto Westminster Bridge (Exit 1) and then cross over the Bridge. SEA LIFE London Aquarium is visible from the bridge. Waterloo tube is on the Northern, Bakerloo, Waterloo & City lines. From Waterloo follow the exit signs for the South Bank (Exit 6) and walk towards the Coca-Cola London Eye. SEA LIFE London Aquarium is located in County Hall, next to the Coca-Cola London Eye.
Travelling by Coach
There are a large number of bus services which stop in the vicinity of Waterloo or Westminster Bridge Road (both accessible to the Aquarium.) and all the London sightseeing buses also pick up and drop off at these points.
