Adventure Coast Southport features all the traditional fairground family favourites, including a ghost train, dodgems and carousels that many of us remember from our childhood. The park’s owner Norman Wallis has invested a lot of money into the park, transforming it from a deserted, crumbling wreck back into a family-friendly fun park with lots of rides and attractions for guests to experience.

The park is home to four exciting themed lands, each offering its own unique adventure. Viking Landings takes visitors back to the age of Norse warriors, while Pirate Cove brings the excitement of the high seas to life with swashbuckling fun. Cartoon Boardwalk is a colourful, playful world inspired by classic animation, and Steampunk Bay blends Victorian fantasy with futuristic thrills. Lakeside Miniature Railway
Adventure Coast is home to the oldest continuously running 15-inch gauge miniature railway in the world. This track was first built by Mr GV Llewelyn in 1911 and was named ‘Llewelyn’s Miniature Railway’. The first steam train ‘King George V’ ran on the 17th May 1911. The track was sold to Harry Barlow in 1945 when it was renamed ‘Lakeside Miniature Railway’. After changing hands a couple more times, it was purchased by Norman Wallis in 2016, who has now begun to refurbish and improve the track and surroundings and hopes to create a heritage museum and improved facilities for everyone.
