Suspended Roller Coaster

Chessington World of Adventures Resort - The Vampire

A Suspended Roller Coaster is where the track is above the riders heads and there is nothing below their seats. Not to be confused with an Inverted Roller Coaster, a suspended roller coaster swings via a pivoting bar attached to the wheel carriage. This allows the car and riders to swing side to side as the train races along the track. Due to the swinging design, these roller coasters cannot perform inversions.
