Mandrill Mayhem sweeps up riders in the long arms of a mandrill, as the horde whisks adventurers around the sites of Jumanji, dodging the hazards of the jungle. Spiralling to the summit of the 55ft tall Jaguar Shrine, riders can catch a glimpse of the Jaguar’s Eye Jewel before falling and braving the adventure again… backwards.

First Ever Shuttle Wing Coaster

Mandrill Mayhem is the first-ever shuttle wing coaster built by Bolliger & Mabillard. Riders exit the station backwards and travel into a banked turn before climbing a spike. Upon reaching the summit, the train falls forwards back through the station and into an in-line twist directly above the entrance to the Jumanji-themed land. Coming out of the twist, the train then spirals to the summit of the 55ft tall Jaguar Shrine, which also serves as the rollback. Riders roll backwards through the layout again before returning to the station.

This is the Next Level for families wanting to explore the ultimate adventure together.

Mandrill Mayhem Virtual Queue

Mandrill Mayhem utilises a virtual queuing system. This is designed to help reduce the physical queue time, so you can continue to enjoy everything else the Resort has to offer while you wait to ride the World’s only Jumanji rollercoaster. Virtual queueing is used in Theme Parks around the World and is an exciting first for Chessington. ​

Using a smartphone, you must book a slot for free to ride Mandrill Mayhem, on the day when visiting. When the time to ride approaches, you will be notified and will be invited to enter the queue line for Mandrill Mayhem within a set time frame.​

Slots to ride Mandrill Mayhem are bookable from 9.45am on the day of your visit via Chessington World of Adventures app or by scanning the QR codes located at the Resort. If you are unsuccessful in acquiring a place in the virtual queue at 9.45am, more slots will be released at regular intervals throughout the day. ​

The free virtual queue for Mandrill Mayhem is operated on a first come, first served basis.

Mandrill Mayhem is located in the World of Jumanji which also features the rides Mamba Strike and Ostrich Stampede, as well as a maze of pathways based on the iconic Jumanji board game.
