A New Water Park for Rhyl in North Wales has been given the go-ahead. The new water park will feature both indoor and outdoor sections and a selection of family-friendly rides and attractions. Costing £15 million, the year-round attraction is scheduled to open in 2019.
Attractions at the New Water Park for Rhyl
The waterpark will include both indoor and outdoor slides, children’s play area and lounger areas for relaxing. In addition to the water park, the plan also includes an activity zone, climbing wall and party rooms.
The waterpark is expected to attract an extra 350,000 visitors to the town. The boost to the Rhyl economy will be in the region of £1.7 million. Head of facilities and assets, Jamie Groves said its location on West Parade will drive people towards the shops and other developments in the area.
Proposals for the New Water Park
It is proposed that the main pool will have beach entry and two interactive play areas. There are also plans for a dedicated toddlers area.
The lineup of slides includes a family slide, a free-fall slide and a four-lane multi-slide. Outdoors there will be a sun deck, splash pads and a bar and terrace.
Ticket Prices
The proposed ticket prices at the New Water Park for Rhyl are £13 for adults and £11 for children for a half-day visit.
