Beyond Vertical Drop
When Speed:No Limits opened in 2006, it was Oakwood’s first roller coaster to feature an inversion. The ride also briefly held the title of being the UK’s only Euro-fighter roller coaster and only the third of its type in the world. The thrill rides main selling point was the beyond vertical drop at an angle of 97 degrees from a height of nearly 120ft. As you approach the crest of the 120ft vertical lift hill, unlike Oblivion at Alton Towers and Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingo Land, Speed does not slow down before you plummet.
