Nickelodeon Streak at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in North West England was one of my favourite rides when I was a child. The classic wooden rollercoaster offers a lovely smooth ride and some good airtime. From when the ride first opened in 1933 right through until 2006 the trains on Nickelodeon Streak had no restraints.
Nickelodeon Streak at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Designed and constructed in 1933 by Charles Paige, Nickelodeon Streak utilises the lift hill and various other parts of the former Velvet Coaster, which was removed in 1932. Formerly named Roller Coaster, in 2010 the ride was modernised and re-themed as Nickelodeon Streak to tie in with the Nickelodeon Land section of the theme park where the ride is located.
