SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth Exhibits and Attractions
A ticket to Sealife Great Yarmouth takes in all manner of maritime wonders, including crocodiles, a tropical reef and a submerged tunnel that offers a brilliant view of turtles, sharks, stingrays and a wide range of other sea creatures.
Come face to face with Ntombi and Masozi, African dwarf crocodiles. This species is the world’s smallest crocodile, growing up to 190 cm in length. These sleek and sinister sisters can grow up to 5ft long!
Though they are birds, penguins have flippers instead of wings. They cannot fly and on land, they waddle walking upright—though when snow conditions are right they will slide on their bellies. You can meet the Humboldt Penguins at SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth.
Jelly Invaders takes you on a journey into the fascinating world of jellyfish. Be mesmerised by enchanting jellyfish as they dance around, where multi-coloured lights emphasise their beauty and create a uniquely stunning experience! Get up close to ‘Moon Jellyfish’ and follow the jellyfish life cycle!
Tropical Ocean Display
Come face-to-fin in this jaw-dropping display. Get ready for an awesome array of creatures in the Tropical Ocean Display. The 250,000-litre Tropical Ocean Display and Tunnel is where you can see the largest inhabitants as they roam around the Lost City of Atlantis themed display! Get up close to Noah a green sea turtle and experience the ‘Shark Nursery’ which is part of the ongoing breeding program.
Coral Reefs are one of the most beautiful and important habitats on Earth. The Coral itself might look like rock or plant but it is actually a type of animal! From the same family as Jellyfish and Sea Anemones, Corals are made up of millions of individual polyps all growing on top of each other. Each of these polyps lives within a shell but sticks out little stinging tentacles to catch plankton in the current. Coral polyps share their shell with algae which provides them with most of their food using photosynthesis. In exchange, the Coral offers the algae a safe house so they both get a good deal! Watch for the Clownfish swimming amongst the coral at SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth.
Have you ever wanted to stroke a Starfish, or tickle a Sea Anemone? Now’s your chance, because at the Rockpool you can do both! Experts are on hand to guide you through this unique opportunity to learn more about these fascinating micro-habitats and the incredible creatures that thrive in them.
