Wyvernwood – How it all Began…
The Captain discovered Wyverwood long ago when he arrived at Alresford Creek. His storm-damaged galleon was laden with treasure and a dragon called Zeta. The Magic Compass guided him to the Wellbeing Woods where he met a cross fairy called Tatiana.
A Magical Fun-filled Family Day Out
The Enchanted Kingdom of Wyvernwood is an exciting adventure park for families with children aged 2 to 12 located in a beautiful outdoor setting near Colchester, Essex. Enter another world through the Magic Portal and meet fierce dragons, fabulous fairies, a warrior princess, spell-blinding wizards, menacing goblins, magical unicorns, and the brave sea captain.

Explore Castle Grounds
Discover what lies within the Goblins’ Tunnels as you meet Gurt, Lord of the Goblins. Brush up your warrior skills with Arabella at the Enchanted Castle. Set sail in the Captain’s Galleon and take a ride in a Dragon Kart. Make dreams come true at the Magic Wishing Well. Search for missing treasure as you encounter other Kingdom characters.
Venture along the Dragon Trail
Created as a reminder of the missing King, Queen and Zeta the dragon. Rest on the abandoned thrones. Pull the sword out of the stone and get close to a dragon. Keep an eye out for the fairy offerings and remember to play the windchimes to alert the fairies as you approach the Wellbeing Woods!
Adventure Within the Wellbeing Woods
Discover the Captain’s Campsite and build a special den with the Captain himself in the Wellbeing Woods. Assist Merlin to concoct potions and spells in the Wizard’s Domain. Visit the Land of the Fairies, make a wish with Tatiana and marvel at her fabulous castle. Laze on the fairy-bathing wings to soak up the beautiful forest canopy high above.

Wyvernwood features multiple food and beverage outlets offering a wide selection of refreshments including pizzas, hot dogs, sweets, ice creams, Belgian waffles and more. There are also over 100 picnic benches available if you prefer to take a picnic.

Wyvernwood is located 20 minutes south of Colchester near Alresford, use the postcode CO7 8AP in your Sat Nav and access to Wyvernwood is via Tenpenny Hill, St. Osyth Road, Alresford. Car parking is free and disabled car parking spaces are available close to the attraction entrance.
Travelling by Train
The closest train station to Wyvernwood is Alresford train station which has links to all major towns within Essex. It is then a short taxi or bus ride from the railway station. Search for your train tickets using Raileasy.
