All Creatures Great and Small is a popular tv show based on James Alfred Wight’s series of books that were written under the pen name James Herriot. The storylines are based on his experiences as a veterinary surgeon in England from 1940 to 1992. Chronicling the heartwarming and humorous adventures of James, a young country vet who lives and works in Yorkshire in the late 1930s.
The World of James Herriot is the original home of All Creatures Great and Small as seen on BBC TV and re-make on Channel 5. Exhibits at the attraction include the Yorkshire Vet Exhibition, the latest All Creatures Great and Small Exhibition plus the original Cars used from the TV and film series and the largest collection of “James Herriot “ memorabilia in the world under one roof.
