A seasonal attraction on the outskirts of York, York Maze is not only the largest maze in the UK it’s an amazing day out for the whole family with over 20 rides, shows and attractions.

Created from over one million living, growing maize plants, York Maze is an award-winning fun-filled, family day out in the country. At over 15 areas in size, it is the largest Maize Maze in Europe. With lots of other great attractions on offer, this popular family day out located on the outskirts of the city of York is so much more than just a maze.

York Maze is famous for the giant Maize Maze, covering an area larger than 8 Wembley football pitches it is a living growing maze made from over 1 million maize plants. The attraction features the largest maze in Britain and one of the largest mazes in the world. In addition to the famous maze, there are also a number of additional attractions on offer to entertain the whole family.

Family Entertainment
There’s lots to entertain all members of the family at York Maze. Come face to face with the giant dinosaurs in the Jurassic Maize, watch the fun and games on stage in Kernoel’s House Party, zoom down the Corn Snake slides and puzzle over the mind-bending rooms and illusions in the House of Cornfusion!
Crowmania Ride
Experience the York Maze signature attraction, the Crowmania tractor & trailer ride. On your journey to find The Greatest Crowman you will encounter amazing animatronics and theatrical surprises. Be warned you will get wet on this ride!
You won’t believe your eyes in the Maze of Illusions, you’ll be on your knees in the Mineshaft Maze, and who knows what your future holds in the Finger Fortune Maze.

Giant Maize Maze
The giant “maize maze” is a living growing maze made from over 1 million maize plants, and covers an area larger than 8 Wembley football pitches!! It is the largest maze in Britain, and one of the largest in the world. Each year there is a new maze design to solve.
Navigate your way through the maze to find the six challenge points. Solve the puzzles and there are prizes to be won! For a more challenging time in the maze try to solve the morse code conundrum!

Additional Mazes
As well as the famous Giant Maize Maze there are a number of additional mazes to challenge your navigational skills, these include:
The Jurassic Maize where you will encounter some of the biggest dinosaurs to ever roam the earth.
The Maze of Illusions where you can discover all sorts of mind bending puzzles and illusions.
Mineshaft Maze, is the ideal choice for children to lose themselves in a 3D labyrinth of crawl tunnels, bridges and overhead walkways.
Finger Fortune Maze, make your way around this mini maze and find the stations where you can colour the end of your finger.
Musical Maze, find the giant musical instruments hidden within the Musical Maze and have a go yourself!

An Amazing Day Out
Come face to face with giant Dinosaurs in the Jurassic Maize. Enter the ‘House of Even More Cornfusion’ and discover a world of gravity-defying rooms, mirror mazes, shrinking corridors and puzzling illusions. You’ll get a soaking when you challenge a friend in the spalshtastic ‘Utter Cornage’ water zone.
Laugh with the scarecrows on the Crowmania ride, but beware you may get wet. You definitely will get wet if choose to play Water Wars! Scale new heights to reach the top of the ‘Vocorno’ before sliding back down to earth. Race your friends around the Cobstacle Course, jump for joy on the Popcorn Pillow, pick your way through the climbing zone, and zoom down the Corn Snake Tower slides. Don’t miss these amazing and unique family rides, shows and attractions, guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Food and Drink
The Kernel’s Coffee Shop is one of two main food and drink outlets at the maze. It is set in a beautiful old brick barn, with a covered south-facing terrace looking out onto the sand and water play, and across the park. The second food outlet, Kernel’s Kitchen is set in the main park area, with plenty of picnic tables surrounding it to sit at and a large seating area under a marquee.
There are also 2 refreshment stalls in the park where you can grab a quick drink or an ice cream to keep you going as you explore the great attractions. You are also welcome to take a picnic and eat it within the park.

Travelling to York Maze
If you are travelling to the attraction by car then take the A64 to York and exit at the Grimston Bar roundabout (Hull A1079 and Bridlington). Take the exit for Hull then turn immediately right on the B1228 towards Elvington and the Air Museum and follow the brown tourist signs
Travelling by Train
York Maze is on the outskirts of York. The nearest railway station is in the centre of York, you would then need to get a taxi to York Maze. York Railway Station has great links to major cities across the UK. Search for your train tickets using the Raileasy website.
Travelling by Coach
Visit National Holidays if you want to travel by coach to York.
